New utility for SharePoint 2007 (SafeControl Adder)

As mentioned in this post, it can be fairly tricky to develop a WebPart for SharePoint – well, the “deployment bit” anyway.

To assist with the steps required, I’ve created a new utility that will allow a developer to by-pass the need to manually check settings in the GAC (public key).

And don’t need to manually edit the “web.config” file.

You will still need to “strong name” the assembly – and throw it into the GAC.
