Greek style @ TechEd

The USA Microsoft TechEd conference has commenced (today) – and one of the interesting tidbits already seen is the new “Acropolis” client application framework.

This is related to “WinForm” development :

Acropolis is partially based on the new Client Application Services that will ship in Visual Studio “Orcas” and will give the ability to leverage the ASP.NET Application services in any client application (ASP.NET, Ajax, WinForms, WPF, or even Silverlight!).

CTP to be revealed & released this week – due as part of the next Visual Studio product (Orcas + .NET 3.5).

Thanks to Guy Burstein for the info.

* Don’t forget to grab a feed to the RSS for TechEd Bloggers for all the news from Orlando, Florida – and some more videos & break-out details @ Virtual TechEd.

Some BIG announcements expected this week.
