1,2,3 – win, win, win

As previously blogged, one of my New Years Resolution’s was to complete the final Microsoft Exam for Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD).

There is now the concept of exam insurance, which allows you to re-try an exam. It works out to be a 2-for-1 deal – if you fail. And a further sweetener is that any candidates who take an exam before January 31st, 2007 will receive a TechNet Plus Direct subscription – and can then (legally) download Windows Vista, Office & many, many other Microsoft bits.

So, have (resumed) studying for the Developing XML Web Services and Server Components with Microsoft Visual C# .NET. I’d first done preparation for this exam back in 2002, but never got organised enough (ie. didn’t BOOK the exam !)

Just have to plough through some Remoting content, and Web Services. Wish me luck.
