Introduction

For those who are not Vista-privileged – or use Windows 7 (yet), you will not be aware of the wonder of “sidebar gadgets”.

These are small application plug-ins that sit on the right-hand panel of your desktop. Some popular ones are time, weather and RSS (blog) related.

It’s relatively easy to develop a Windows Vista Sidebar Gadget – here’s one I’ve created :

Displays a link list for the most viewed (most popular) news articles – sourced from “The Age” – or “Sydney Morning Herald”.
