Hardly a big surprise, but Silverlight 2 has (finally) been released as a final version. This is following a looong Beta2, and then RC0 – before an RTM today (or more exactly – RTW – Release To Web).

At a recent Silverlight training course, I discovered & had a play with the wealth of “controls” within the new Silverlight 2 environment. Silverlight-1 was much more limited, mainly related to “multimedia” – but now, can really create “applications” – as opposed to just animations, and video.

As already blurg-blogged, the Melbourne dose of reMIX happened last week (Thursday). This was essentially billed as a Microsoft Silverlight love-fest, with the IIS-7 and IE-8 stuff also.
