With the recent Nine Inch Nails shows (Lights In The Sky), there was no filming rig, or concert footage for an “official” DVD – some problems with the record company who still hold onto TR’s balls in some manner or other.
Instead, they relaxed the “camera policy” – and invited fans to bring along camera’s and video equipment – whatever…!
Well, it looks like Trent mighta have some dudes of his own in the crowd – and there’s now 400 GB (yep – 400 GIG !) of raw, unedited footage.
The following was a message on the OFFICIAL website for Nine Inch Nails (nin.com) :
The internet is full of surprises these days.
I was contacted by a mysterious, shadowy group of subversives who SOMEHOW managed to film a substantial amount (over 400 GB!) of raw, unedited HD footage from three separate complete shows of our Lights in the Sky tour.
Security must have been lacking at these shows because the quality of the footage is excellent.
If any of you could find a LINK to that footage I’ll bet some enterprising fans could assemble something pretty cool.
Oh yeah, you didn’t hear this from me.
The footage is available from a BitTorrent site – and “novice users” (like me ?) are recommended to wait and see if the “advanced users” will digest, edit and upload in some form or other.
Keep an eye here for more information about “This One Is On Us” – a fan based wesbite which will bear fruit before long. Fans are asked to contribute title, artwork, suggestions, etc.
